In Jerusalem the places visited were the Church of Gethsemani, the Tomb of David, the Church of theDormition of Mary, the Wailing Wall, the Church of St. Peter Gallicantu, the Via Dolorosa, and the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. Bethlehem, the Dead Sea, St.George on the side of the moun- tains, Massada, Jericho, and Qumran were also visited. Mass was celebrated every day at one of the churches. On Friday, the Pa- pal Mass was attended by the Sea Of Galilee on the Mount of the Be- atitudes. Running for Presiding Judge of the Court of Criminal Appeals is Tom Price and Sharon Keller. Charles Holcomb and Guy Williams are in the runoff for Judge of the Court of Crinainal Appeals Place 1 and Jim Wallace and Barbara Parker Hervey are in the runoff for Judge of the Court of Criminal Appeals Place 2. All Knox County Republicans will vote at the Methodist Church in Benjamin. Early voting began on Monday, April 3 and continues until Friday, April 7. The election will be held on April 1 ith with polls open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. "Play" Continued from R 1 one-act-plays and this year's version of "Romeo and Juliet" is no exception. From this competition two plays will advance to the Regional competition which will be held in Levelland on Thursday, April 13. Knox County Hospital District, 701 South 5th Street, Knox City, Texas 79529 The Wichita-Brazos Soil Water Conservation District recently honored the winners of the poster contest along with their parents, teachers, principal, and superinten- dent at an awards banquet held on March 21 at the Benjamin School Cafeteria. Winning first place and receiving a plaque and a check for $50.00 was Goree sixth grader Joe Reyes, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jose Reyes, Sr. Second place winner was also from Goree School, fifth grader, Will Hagle, grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Dean Hagle. Will re- ceived a plaque and a check for $35.00. Making it a clean sweep for Goree was fourth grader, Chris Hagle who placed third in the poster contest. He is also the grand- son of Mr. and Mrs. Dean Hagle. Chris received a plaque and a check for $20.00 for his efforts. Accompanying the students and their families were Mr. and Mrs. Dillard. Congratulations on your hard work, boys! ! At the high school academic meet held in Jayton last week, se- nior, Antonio Garcia placed sixth in Accounting. He was coached by Ms. Moore. The high school boys and girls golf teams competed at Throck- morton. The girls played on Wednesday with Tonia Landreth shooting a 118, April Casiano 127, Kourtnee Harris 147, and Laura Lambeth 129. Antonio played for the boys team day and shot a 116. Mr. is their coach. Three junior high bo3s in the shot put at the Track meet held on evening.
